Shoes

Peyton wandered off somewhere and when we went to find her, this is what we found.

She went into our closet and put on my church shoes. She walked around the house in them.

Professional photos

It has been a while since we have done professional photos of Peyton. We went to Kmart one day and Olan mills was having a special deal so we decided to get it. We were skeptical about it because Peyton has always cried doing pictures. The lady who took the pictures was really nice. She spent time playing with Peyton before taking pictures so that she would feel comfortable and not scared. Non of the pictures have Peyton smiling but at least she wasn't crying or had a red face from crying. I thought they turned out really cute.

Dancing

We had music playing on the computer the other day and Peyton just started dancing. I got her to dance while filming her...rare occasion since whenever she sees the camera she tries to play with it. Here is a video of her cool and awesome moves!

She talks!

I have been getting worried with Peyton not really talking. The only things she would say by a year old were "dant du"-thank you, "hi", and "dada". But mostly just the thank you and hardly ever of the other words. She is now almost 17 months old and the whole time she wasn't saying anything else at all, until recently :) She now says "thank you", "hi" while waving, "dada" whenever Tairel gets home, "eat" but sounds more like et instead of eet, "baby" when looking for her doll. "froggy", or she is attempting to. No "mama" which makes me a little sad but I am just so happy she is trying to say more words. I was worried, and still am a little, depending on how much more she tries to say, that she was going to have to do speech therapy. Keep your fingers crossed that she will continue to try to learn more words :)

Our baby is growing up

Peyton is 16 months old now...almost a year and a half. She has taught Tairel and I so much. I cannot believe how grown up she is now and how smart she is. She is a very happy baby and loves when her aunts come over to spend time with her. She is always shy with people that come over at first but after a few minutes, she is a huge show off. It is so cute. She says "hi" and waves to us all the time that it becomes a repeated thing all day long. She loves taking baths and will try to get out of her clothes for one right after she just had one. She brings us her coat and ours almost every day because she wants to go somewhere, dont know where, but she just wants to get in the car and go. She definitely brings joy into our home. Right now she is at grandmas house, Tairel is at school and it is just so quiet here. I forgot what it was like to not have her around. I miss her. Here are some recent pictures of her and all the fun we have with her.
